Message from the Chief Executive Officer
One of the key factors that distinguish a thriving nonprofit is its ability to identify needs, collaborate with like–minded partners, and deliver excellent and relevant services to its diverse resident and community members in which it serves.
For over 84 years the YWCA of San Gabriel Valley (YWCA-SGV) has demonstrated its worth and value to the many communities within the San Gabriel Valley. Today, the YWCA-SGV is moving forward with transformations that reflect the values embedded in its mission to eliminate racism, empower women and promote peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all. As a multi-service organization we have worked hard to earn the communities’ trust, and we will continue to seek new opportunities that focus on marginalized communities to promote overall wellness, healthy equity, racial justice, healthy and violence free communities and a better quality of life for all.
Our employees are poised to support clients from various social and economic backgrounds to overcome social barriers, address life span and intergenerational needs, and provide access to culturally responsive services and resources. As a result, we know this has changed lives for the better.
As the CEO of the YWCA of San Gabriel Valley, I commit my unwavering dedication to our mission and vision. I’m tremendously grateful for the achievements of our current 100+ employees and over 200 volunteers. Through their compassion, they have created an unparalleled environment for addressing domestic violence, supportive services, mental health, housing, children and youth, and older adults.
This website is a quick glance and summary of the many programs and initiatives we have undertaken to enhance quality, improve access, encourage innovation and collaboration, and fulfill a passionate commitment to community service. Our goal is to provide quality services to all individuals in a professional, comfortable and safe environment. It is our goal to treat all clients with the care and respect we all deserve.
On behalf of our Board of Directors and staff we appreciate your interest in the YWCA San Gabriel Valley, and look forward to working with you in the near future.
